At this moment, Bangkok is the best city for me to go to as a tourist. The city is full of exceptional food and great vibes. The price here is also very reasonable, and not many stores will try to rip tourists off (unless you go to dodgy districts).
I loved Bangkok so much in May that I returned there in December. However, the weather was much cooler this time, and the Christmas decorations were the best I had seen. Singapore and Hong Kong’s Christmas decorations were a huge letdown, but we will talk about it in the near future.

The food was terrific. I say again, the food was terrific. Every meal, from breakfast to tea time to dinner, was “sibeh hojiak”, which means very yummy in Hokkien.
My absolute all-time favourite Thai food is phat kaphrao. I know many foreigners love PadThai, but the authentic Thai food the locals enjoy is the kaphrao. Surprisingly, another favourite dish of mine was Thai-style stir-fried water spinach, which I admit is far superior to Malaysian-style. Malaysian-style stir-fried morning glory uses sambal, which overpowers the taste of the water spinach.

A friend recommended this famous rooftop bar in Bangkok. I didn’t know rooftop bars were a thing until now. I liked the atmosphere of the bar. It was pretty chill, and catching up with a friend at places like this was nice.

Did I mention that Bangkok is a fantastic city? If I return more often, I can consider it my second home. I need to explore more places in Thailand, such as Hatyai, Phuket, Krabi and more. And, of course, I need to go to the Andaman Sea for scuba diving.
